Position vacant - Rural/Hardware Manager

Hastings Co-op is a thriving community-owned co-operative with businesses across the Hastings and Camden Haven valleys, on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Due to the expansion of our rural and hardware supplies division, we have a vacancy for a senior manager to look after all aspects of the business. The primary function of this role is to provide visible leadership to the team, ensuring sales are maximised, losses and expenses are minimised and customer expectations are always exceeded. You will also need to provide consistent people management strategies, creating an environment for individual growth and development, and be responsible for demonstrating a personal commitment to workplace health and safety and promoting a positive safety culture amongst the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who is dedicated to achieving results at the hightest level.

Ideally you will have:

  • Rural and/or hardware knowledge

  • Minimum five years experience in a similar role

  • The ability to supervise and manage staff

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets

  • Ability to network with third party supplies

  • Share our vision of excellent customer service

  • Excellent merchandising skills
