2022 National IGA Community Service Award winners
In July we were awarded the coveted Community Service Award at the National IGA Awards of Excellence. It was also an honour for Sovereign Place IGA's meat department to be a national finalist in their category after winning the NSW/ACT Meat Department of the year award. Read the media release here.
2022 NSW/ACT IGA Awards
We won not one, but two awards at the NSW/ACT IGA Awards earlier this year for Community Service and Meat Department of the year for Sovereign Place IGA. We will now go up against other state winners at the IGA National Conference in July.
Our stores were nominated for four awards: Store of the Year for Sovereign Place IGA, Customer Service Award for Wauchope IGA, Meat Department of the Year for Sovereign Place IGA and the Community Service Award, so it was a significant achievement to come home with two major awards.
2021/22 Mitre 10 Awards
Our Mitre 10 Wauchope team celebrated their Most Improved Store Standards Award for 2021/22 in May, and were presented with the award by Mitre 10 State Manager Allistair Stagg and Business Development Manager Chantelle Jackson. Congratulations to Julie Samuelson (centre) and all the hard-working team on your well-deserved recognition.
NSW/ACT Liquor Retailer of the year award
Our Wauchope IGA Liquor store is no stranger to the winner’s circle, having won the NSW/ACT IGA Liquor Retailer of the Year Award on numerous occasions – the most recent being in 2019.
To win this award on eight occasions since 2011 is a testament to the whole team and the quality of Wauchope IGA Liquor’s offering.
The fact that we were recognised above hundreds of much larger, metropolitan-based stores is a great honour, as these awards represent the highest example of retail excellence.
The highly-competitive award is judged by industry experts, supplier audits and mystery shoppers on criteria such as customer service, community contribution, sales, profits, merchandising, shopper experience and the store’s overall performance.
